This adapter allows 2wd to 4wd conversion of any rear wheel drive Toyota & Lexus automatic 4-speed transmission. Most commonly used on Tacoma PreRunners, (hence the name) this adapter fits any '85 or newer rear wheel drive Toyota or Lexus vehicle with an automatic 4-speed transmission. This adapter replaces the tail housing on these automatics and allows single or double 4wd gear driven transfer cases to be installed.
