This adapter allows 2wd to 4wd conversion of any rear wheel drive Toyota & Lexus automatic transmission. Most commonly used on Tacoma PreRunners, (hence the name) this adapter fits any '85 or newer rear wheel drive Toyota or Lexus vehicle with an automatic transmission. This adapter replaces the tail housing on these automatics and allows single or double 4wd gear driven transfer cases to be installed.
